What campaigns pay for
The FreeMessaging.ai pricing model separates the messaging capability from the underlying direct costs required to operate it. The platform and standard managed-sending workflow are free; unavoidable third-party charges are passed through transparently.
1. Twilio messaging and number costs
FreeMessaging.ai uses Twilio as the underlying messaging provider. Campaigns pay the actual Twilio charges associated with their messaging activity and messaging number.
• Messaging usage: the actual provider cost for messages sent and received.
• Messaging number: the cost of maintaining the campaign phone number used for the program.
• Any provider-imposed network or carrier-related charges reflected in the Twilio bill are treated as part of the underlying messaging cost rather than a separate FreeMessaging.ai fee.
What FreeMessaging.ai does not add: a software subscription, per-user fee, SMS markup, or managed-sending surcharge.
2. Required verification and registration costs
Political messaging can require campaign verification and carrier-registration steps before messages can be sent. Depending on the campaign, number type, and messaging path, applicable direct costs may include:
• Campaign Verify / CV Token fees, when required.
• 10DLC or TCR registration charges, when applicable.
• Twilio registration or related setup charges required by the selected messaging path.
• Other third-party verification or compliance charges that apply to the campaign program.
These costs are not FreeMessaging.ai platform fees. They are external costs required to establish the messaging infrastructure and are disclosed as part of onboarding.
3. AI usage costs, if applicable
Some messaging programs may use AI to classify replies, retrieve campaign-approved information, support conversations, or assist follow-up. If those capabilities create a direct usage cost, the campaign pays the disclosed usage cost associated with the approved workflow.
The principle remains the same: direct usage cost is disclosed; it is not hidden inside a platform markup.
4. Optional costs outside the standard service
A campaign may request capabilities or third-party resources beyond the standard FreeMessaging.ai service. Examples can include supplemental data, specialized integrations, or external services required for a particular campaign workflow.
• These items are not automatically included.
• They should be scoped and disclosed before use.
• The campaign can decide whether the optional item is appropriate for its program.
What campaigns do not pay FreeMessaging.ai for

For the standard FreeMessaging.ai service, the campaign does not pay:
• A monthly platform subscription
• A per-user software fee
• A FreeMessaging.ai markup on the underlying messaging cost
• An additional managed-sending fee for the standard service
• A separate charge simply to receive and manage two-way replies through the standard workflow
Why this structure matters for campaigns
The model is designed to make it easier for campaigns to start SMS outreach or add incremental capacity without replacing existing staff, tools, or vendors. A larger campaign can use FreeMessaging.ai alongside its current texting operation; a smaller campaign can use it to establish an SMS program without taking on another software subscription.
For a campaign starting SMS: the direct costs are tied to the messaging and registration infrastructure actually used.
For a campaign expanding SMS: FreeMessaging.ai can add reach without adding another platform or managed-sending fee.
Can costs change as the campaign scales?
Yes. Direct costs can change when message volume, number configuration, registration requirements, or AI usage changes. That does not change the FreeMessaging.ai pricing principle: the campaign should be able to see the underlying cost and understand what it is paying for.
What this means for your campaign
Before launch, the campaign should receive a clear view of the direct costs that apply to its program. The goal is to avoid hidden software or sending-service markup and make the economics easy to understand before outreach begins.
In short: FreeMessaging.ai is free at the platform and standard managed-sending layer. Campaigns still pay the real third-party costs required to send messages and complete required setup.
