Onboarding procedure

Agreement

Establish the campaign relationship, document the no-fee FreeMessaging.ai service, and create the approved onboarding record needed to begin verification and technical setup.

Purpose

Formalize the relationship and document the no-fee service.

Campaign provides

Campaign/committee information, authorized contacts, and required approvals.

FreeMessaging.ai handles

Agreement preparation, scope confirmation, onboarding record, and in-kind documentation workflow.

Output

Signed agreement and a complete record ready for Step 2.

1

What This Step Accomplishes

Step 1 creates the written record for your FreeMessaging.ai engagement before verification, registration, data connection, or messaging work begins.

Because there is no platform fee and no managed-sending fee, your campaign should have a clear record of what is included, which direct costs still apply, who may approve work, and any in-kind documentation your treasurer or counsel may need.

Everyone starts with the same understanding: what FreeMessaging.ai provides, what your campaign is responsible for, and who can approve decisions during onboarding.

2

What Your Campaign Provides

To prepare the agreement and onboarding file, your campaign provides the information that identifies the committee and the people authorized to act for it.

Campaign identity
Candidate name, office sought, district/state, election date, and official campaign/committee name.
Committee / registration information
Committee address and registration identifiers if applicable and needed for the agreement or onboarding workflow.
Authorized contacts
Primary campaign contact, treasurer/compliance contact where applicable, and the person authorized to approve the service agreement.
Official campaign channels
Campaign website and official email/phone information used for verification and future setup.
Initial service objective
Whether the campaign is starting SMS outreach or expanding existing SMS reach, plus the initial campaign use case or priority.
Campaign approvals
Review and approval of the agreement, service scope, and any required in-kind documentation before signature.

What FreeMessaging.ai Handles

  • Prepare the FreeMessaging.ai service agreement from the information your campaign provides.
  • Document the agreed scope, including the $0 platform fee, $0 managed-sending fee, and any disclosed direct costs that may apply later.
  • Prepare in-kind documentation if your campaign requests it for its own compliance records.
  • Confirm authorized contacts and who may approve onboarding, messaging, and data-related decisions.
  • Create the onboarding file and organize the information needed for Step 2 — Campaign Verify.
  • Identify missing information early so it does not delay verification or registration.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. 1

    Confirm the campaign identity

We collect your official candidate, committee, office, district, election, website, and primary-contact information so we can open the onboarding file.

  2. 2

    Confirm authorized contacts

You identify who may sign the agreement and who should receive compliance, technical, and onboarding communications.

  3. 3

    Define the initial service scope

Together we confirm whether you are starting a new SMS program or adding capacity, and the first messaging objective or use case.

  4. 4

    Document the pricing structure

The agreement records the $0 platform fee and $0 managed-sending fee, and distinguishes those from disclosed carrier, registration, and other direct costs your campaign still pays.

  5. 5

    Prepare in-kind documentation

If your campaign needs a written record of the no-fee service for its own reporting, we prepare that information for your compliance review.

  6. 6

    Campaign review and approval

You review the agreement, scope, contacts, and any in-kind documentation, and request corrections before signing.

  7. 7

Sign the agreement and begin onboarding

After the agreement is signed, Step 1 is complete. We use this information to begin Step 2 — Campaign Verify.
